For sure when OnePlus started the “5T Project” the company wish was to increase their smartphone sales appealing in trends like the 18:9 display. But apparently the OnePlus 5T is performing pretty well to be only considered a ramp in sales.
The handset was unveiled two weeks ago in an event held in US, yesterday the handset debuted in OnePlus homeland, China. According to the company the OnePlus 5T is their fastest selling phone up do date, surpassing their previous handsets. And becoming much more successful than its early brother, the OnePlus 5T.



According to the company it took only 6 hours to realize that the OnePlus 5T was breaking their sales record. However, the company didn’t publicly shared numbers of total shipped units during the achievement.

Due to the huge success, the shipments for countries such as USA are taking more than expected. According to recent reports the smartphone is taking about 2 weeks to ship in the country, a long wait for any anxious buyer.
If you’ve lived in a cave during this month and missed the OnePlus 5T bandwagon, let us refresh your memory. The 5.99-inch FHD+ smartphone brings Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset to date, the Snapdragon 835 paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage or 8GB RAM and 128GB in the higher variant. Camera wise the handset brings the same 20MP + 16MP dual setup on the rear, however the company has made a refresh treatment in the sensor to do a better low light photography. Additionally there is a 16MP unit on the front for selfie’s lovers.


Currently the OnePlus 5T can be acquired with the amount of $499 for the 6GB+64GB variant and $559 for the 8GB+128GB unit. Chinese consumers can also grab the cool looking Lava Red Colored OnePlus 5T, while western consumers got only the Midnight Black variant. We are anxious to see if the handset will keep breaking records.

Today we learned the new-gen Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will be officially unveiled on December 7. They are going to be the next 1000-yuan handsets bringing a full-screen experience to more customers. In this sense, the price set for these devices is awesome. But you don’t have to think about them as low-end and worthless smartphones. There are a few other key features but the 18:9 full-screen. And among them, we should mention MIUI9. Today it’s been officially announced the Redmi 5 models will be launched with the latest MIUI version out of the box.
Actually, we know the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be packed with a full-screen, Snapdragon 450 processor, 4000mAh battery, and a selfie-centric camera on the front with a soft light. As for the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, it sports identical features, but the chip is the Snapdragon 625.

It’s worth mentioning, the MIUI9 comes with an interesting concept in mind dubbed as the ‘fast lightning’. It is also fully optimized to provide smoother and more stable performance. Especially, it adopts the first black technology including an application startup acceleration, dynamic resource allocation, continuous auto-finishing, new file system and real-time anti-fragmentation of the memory to ensure the fluency of the phone is fast.
Currently, MIUI9 is being pushed to a list of Xiaomi phones including the Redmi Note 4, Mi 6, Mi Max 2, and many more. So with the launch of the Redmi 5 series handsets, the company will bring this amazing UI to more Mi users.

Smartphones with thick bezels are slowly becoming a thing of the past as brand new device from the like of Xiaomi, Oppo and even Apple slowly hit the market. Panasonic is now the next OEM to jump on this trend with the Panasonic Eluga C, a phone that’s bezeless on three of its sides.
The phone has a 5.5” screen with a screen to body ratio of 84.6%. The resolution isn’t great – 720p – but the brightness is pretty good – 450 nits. Below the screen is a fingerprint reader (0.3s unlock time) and an 8MP selfie camera.



The MediaTek MT6750T chipset runs the show of this mid-range affair, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage backing it up. Expandable memory is also an option, which is fantastic to see. Around the back there’s a dual 13MP + 5MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The design of the device isn’t particularly unique, though it’s quite a decent looking one. The rear looks quite a bit like the Mi Mix, and it covers the device’s modest 3000mAh battery. Overall. this is a clearly mid-range attempt at a bezeless device, and we’re curious to see how it turns out for Panasonic.

Samsung’s chip-making division, Exynos has just announced it has commenced mass production of 10nm (LPP) based chips. That chip actually happens to be the Exynos 9810, in other words, the one that will power the Galaxy S9. In a statement, Samsung also affirmed that their newest S3 foundry in Hwaseong,
Korea is ready to ramp up production of 10 nm and below process technologies.



So, what perks are Galaxy S9 users going to get with the new silicone? For starters, the Exynos 9810 will be 15 % better at power conservation that its previous iteration. Also, a 10% boost in performance is expected from the 10 nm LPP process chip. This LPP (Low Power Plus) process is derived from the first gen 10 nm LPE (Low Power Early) process. In plain words, Samsung will be able to easily meet demands due to process of production being greatly similar.
So, what about the 8nm chips we’re so interested to see? Well, looks like those will be postponed to at least the Galaxy Note 9. Even though the 8nm FinFET is now ready for mass production, as Samsung said last month.


 The report coincides with widespread rumours that the Samsung might strut its stuff on the CES 2018 stage in January. Apple has been filling its pockets well with the iPhone X and this won’t be a good sign for its strongest rival, hence the reports of an early Galaxy S9 release hold some water.
